On Water Boat Courses Hands on Boat Lessons

Whether you’re new to powerboating or looking to boost your confidence in docking and close-quarters maneuvering, this course is perfect for you. The Boat Control On-Water Training Course Modules are specifically designed to teach essential boat handling skills to recreational boaters and individuals operating vessels for marine patrol. Led by an NSBC Certified Instructor, the course covers everything from safety equipment and pre-launch procedures to docking and refueling in tight spaces. Each maneuver is practiced multiple times, progressing from idle speed to displacement and planing modes. Participants can earn a Certificate of Completion for each module; however, this is not an instructor certification course. (Boat Lessons)

Boat Lessons course is designed for single and twin engine boats

  1. Our courses are taught by a NSBC Certified Instructors.
  2. Students qualify for a certificate of completion after demonstrating the skills in each course. This course aligns with the American National Standard for on-water skills, as confirmed by an independent third-party assessment process. Strict adherence to the curriculum is crucial, as any modifications or deviations would invalidate the course verification. Recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as American National Standards, the On-Water Power, On-Water Sailing, and On-Water Human-Propelled standards outline the core skills that entry-level recreational boat operators are expected to demonstrate after instruction. Prior to taking the course, students are required to complete a NASBLA-approved boating safety course as well as meet the legal requirements of the state where the course is being held.
